started to make some resin cast parts for my scale models. i did a 67 beaumont 25 years ago, and it turned out OK, but i thought i would try for better results. plus now i have been doing some resin casting, so making multiple copies is now possible. a 3d printer would be even better, but im not going that advanced!!!
i built bucks from scratch using existing 1967 and 1965 chevelle kits, then cutting the grilles apart and building beaumont ones with strips of plastic and aluminum, and the 67 taillights were moulded by hand from clay, just like in a GM design studio, only super super tiny!!!!
then im starting to take an existing 1966 chevelle wagon kit, combined with a 1967 malibu SS kit, cutting it all up and building a 67 wagon, and then converting that to a 67 BEAUMONT wagon, it will be a "custom" so i have to do all teh side trim from scratch too.
Lots of scratch building, made the roofrack, full door panels, all the decals for the dash, will be a 67 custom in Provincial white with medium blue interior 283 P/S, PB, powerglide, look close and you will see i made power window switches. Will have white stripe tires with white rims and dogdish caps that i resin cast.
