Was it because of Buddy Knox?

Could you bring laptop and pick it up there?  I could do a bunch of prison songs to set the mood if you let me know you're working.

I wish but there's no wifi there sadly. Otherwise I could listen.  That would be fun, having prison songs at work!

I tried finding a live stream. I did find one in Alberta for "Boreal FM" but it was in French. Is this the station?

Yeah that's the one Todd. Its usually broadcasts in French but they told me I could use English as they are trying to broaden their programming.  So from 6 to 8 or thereabouts on Monday suddenly its in English or my approximation of it.  i did give the show sort of a French label (Potage du Music or Music Soup) to sort of play the game a bit, but I haven't heard any locals complain as, realistically, I don't think there is anyone living here that speaks only French.

Hey guys tune in tonight if you can for the old curmudgeon's radio  show. Tonight I feature a three song technical feature on how to choose the car seat that gives you the best "bang for your buck' so to speak.   Other good tunes and probably some relatively amusing technical glitches as well!

Ken,

How about doing this show "live" with video and plopping it on youtube

so we can see how a professional disc jockey does  his work.

Then we could watch it when we can.

Interesting idea but there are a few things that would make it difficult.

1. What I do is actually kind of boring. There are no more turntables, reel to reel decks or tape carts so its really just me talking and  using a computer to play stuff I have made into files for the show.

2.  Copyrights on youtube are a real mine field.

3. I usually do the show in the nude.

I was doing fine until I read 3.

I promise to keep my clothes on today! By the way, I  have a dentist appointment this afternoon so if I sound like I'm slurring and drooling that will be the main reason!

Could be be lots of music and not too much talking,  which will also be good,  I will continue the time capsule theme featuring the 70's tonight with some memorable TV themes(?) and some tunes from each year. I have tried to usually (but not always) pick stuff that didn't quite make the top ten so they should be familiar but not overplayed.

Hope it all works out, Wish me luck!

its a technique I use in my marriage too. Its called reducing expectations. That way if I ever do anything that is actually mature and responsible she's really happy!
