There was never a factory installed one,  they were all dealer accessories based on the customers preference.  Some got the same as a nova, some got the pontiac ones,  it all depended on what the customer wanted.     acadians, and beaumonts  usually used the same mirrors and thier chevelle or nova counterparts,  but the canadian mirrors had no bowtie logo on them for obvious reasons

This link has a couple of different angles of the mirror that the dealer installed on my 65 when the original owner bought it off the lot. I was second owner and have the paperwork showing the purchase details. I think I'm safe in saying this is the correct 65 accessory mirror, which is as Beaumontguru said, the only "original" mirror these came with.

Carl looks like the same style mirror that is on my 1965 Chevelle, but mine of course has the bowtie on the mirror head. Not sure if it can be purchased sans the bowtie, 1966-67  just order for a Firebird.

Here's a survivor '64 mirror on an Oshawa-built Chevy II Nova. Shared with the '65, the base is pointed rather than blunt.

I used to have a New Old Stock mirror like that in the box with bracket, template & instructions, but I traded it for other stuff many years ago at Antique Chevrolet Parts when they were in Oakville near 3rd Line. They are hard to find compared to the 1966 & later style, which is reproduced. The one on my '67 is genuine GM.

Enough old cars were still driving around without mirrors that Canadian Tire offered a wide selection. Here's a sample from 1969:

Of note is the 1965/66 Chevrolet mirror in stock.
Also on the bottom is a full width multi-pane, multi-angle mirror. A block or 2 from my house until 1975 there was a 1966 Laurentian Safari with that mirror. That car was traded in on a white '75 Parisienne sedan.
