Hi All, New member and new Beaumont owner (new to me). Looking forward to being a contributing member here!
Over the weekend purchased a 1968 Beaumont Custom survivor - 327/4 speed. Really appreciative that the previous owner entrusted me as the next curator with this one. Some clean up to do - but will be leaving it relatively untouched and just enjoy it. Multiple folders of documentation came with the car as well - so I'm pretty thrilled.
Its tucked in the garage for the moment but I found a picture of it online that I will kick this post off with.

You are right, it is Bruce's old car - I obtained it from his son along with 2 storage folders of documents... I realize the 68 327/4 speeds are rare- I dont really know how rare though - a google search does not come up with many (any?) and I scoured the registry here on this site and seems pretty scarce... I consider myself lucky!
Thanks all!
Welcome. Beautiful car. That would be Bruce Mcinnis old car, the July 2011 Feature car I do believe. Nice Car !!!
I remember the excitement surrounding Bruces purchase of this car. He drove it a lot and kept it original. Hope health and or worse wasnt the reason for the sale.
Well, a few weeks of work on the car and now getting out and driving it! Getting it back to truly stock - Removed about 50 lbs of wiring for a variety of things such as amps, hour counters, exhaust cutouts, under dash lighting, cassette player, 8 track player. Also removed the rear lift and returned to stock ride hight.
I feel lucky to be the custodian of the car- and am thankful for the care Bruce took of it- its a blast to drive and is as solid as a rock. A few pictures attached on the progress.

Hello looks like a early 68 with no headrest like mine was wondering can I get the last 4 #s of your vin mine is 2888 I am trying to figure out the dates on engines codes and how far behind they where on production dates thanks Theo VAN BC
Hi Theo, I will get the number for you but until then, I know this is an early car - date on paterwork inc. GM docs is Oct 67.
Also, those are not the original seats (I have the originals wrapped in blankets) - those are Camaro seats as I understand it- it was how it was sold to me- so left it for the season. Ash gold seats are rare weather Camaro, Chevelle etc, so I decided to leave it as is for the summer and decide what to do in the winter.
Note the original Beaumont seats for this car have no headrests either- they look pretty identical to the ones in the car.
