The 1968 427 emblem was gold accented, the rest of the full-size models were red (no 307 in the Big Canadian Pontiacs, the 327 2-barrel was the base V8). Chevy in Canada-only did a similar thing for the Big B-body marker light badges. They were black for 307-327-396, and red for 427. At least that is how production started... Running change from smooth foil background (fade prone) to cast with ribs & raised numerals, and may have all been black accented. I don't know for sure.
Canadian 427 models are so rare to begin with that most people haven't seen an authentic one, or so subtle in the case of pre-'68 cars that they may not have even known it was a 427.
