1968 Engine ID Emblem

Based on this image from the 1968 brochure, can anyone confirm that the 427 emblem was unique in color?

It appears that all engine emblems were red, except the 427 , which looks yellow. Is this the case?

THE 427 EMBLEM IS GOLD, THE 307 EMBLEM IS BLACK, THE OTHERS ARE RED.

The 1968 427 emblem was gold accented, the rest of the full-size models were red (no 307 in the Big Canadian Pontiacs, the 327 2-barrel was the base V8).
Chevy in Canada-only did a similar thing for the Big B-body marker light badges. They were black for 307-327-396, and red for 427. At least that is how production started... Running change from smooth foil background (fade prone) to cast with ribs & raised numerals, and may have all been black accented. I don't know for sure.

Canadian 427 models are so rare to begin with that most people haven't seen an authentic one, or so subtle in the case of pre-'68 cars that they may not have even known it was a 427.

...and then Carl got to them and it was like they never existed. Lots of blocks and scrappage. I jest wink

Is the original question about the fender mounted engine emblems (callouts, badges) or about the air cleaner decals?
