Definitely worth restoring . Nice factory color combo. I have a lot of 68 Biscayne 2 dr parts left over from a project I had a few years ago ( and a 68 Impala I'm currently parting out ) .

*** It must have been in fashion back in the day to put Impala rear bumpers on these Biscaynes ... ( Mine was like that when found  , and I've seen a few more like that since )

That one is ordered differently than most. It is stripped but has p/s, p/b & automatic, plus Positraction. Really nothing else.

So only 5 Biscaynes with L36 / M40 drivetrains were sold in Canada for '68, or 30 total when considering the L36 with all transmissions (TH400 or Warner 3-speed, or Muncie 4-speed).
I do recall seeing the odd factory '68 427 Biscayne back in the 1970's local Auto Traders. One had ladder bars, steam roller tires, a Dick Landy hood scoop and white undercarriage.

Triple tail lights. Tell them it's Australian, as they often did that starting with the '62 models.

 Cam,

Where did you find the stats on how many were built ?

Do you have a source for stats for 1969 Biscayne 427 builds?

 Greaser, the stats were included in the VVS docs in the ad.

When I find #s I try to record them & keep them in a folder, but usually it is just committed to memory. I just find this stuff very interesting.

Compare the #s to the U.S. production. For '68 they installed 124 M22 Rock Crushers into big Chevrolets, and those were considered extremely rare in the U.S.

Yes, 69 was the last year for the 2 door post in the full size Chevy and Ford lines; 68 for the Pontiac line; 63 for the Buick line; 64 for the Dodge line; 71 for the Plymouth line; 66 for the Mercury line;

I am not sure about the Olds line - I am thinking 1961 or 62 but I could be wrong on that.

Not to derail this thread but does anyone know where that 69 Biscayne is? I assume the original owner has passed?
