Car people are some of the nicest in the world-last Sunday I went with my buddy to look at a 72 vette convertible-he has a 2019 Grand Sport and has been looking for a chrome bumper vette for a few years. The 72 vette owner was truly a car guy-we shot the breeze-put the car up on his lift and inspected it-we left and went to Timmies to discuss the car-and met with Randy Preece-another great car guy-shot the breeze for 40 minutes-could of talked for hours-fast forward to this past friday-my buddy decided to buy the 72 so we went to pay the guy-it was a sunny 12C day-people were golfing down the road-when we pulled into his driveway a buddy of his had just picked up his new C8 Corvette from the dealership-we got out and started to shoot the breeze with this new C8 owner-my buddy and the 72 owner went into the garage to do paperwork-this C8 guy which I just met 5 minutes ago-asked me if I wanted to go for a ride--sure-I can't believe how quiet the car was with the engine sitting behind you-well that made my day.Again we could of stayed there all day shooting the breeze-nice meeting other car people!!!!
I found the same thing with my LeMans for sale, people come by and won't leave, even after they decline to make an offer of buy the car hey call me up weeks later asking me stuff and where to get parts and what not. New best buddies. I got a guy looking for parts for Christmas presents, I showed him my stash and now he's calling all he time. Two guys looked at car then asked me my recommendation for lunch in the neighbourhood, they left , after lunch they came back to tell me what a great spot and how much the owner bent over backwards for them......it goes on and on.
