So basically T= top, then the number indicates colour. 

Could 27 be black? Was there two or three colour tops offered in the 66 Grande? Like black, Tan, white?

Top 27 = Black, Top 29 = Beige, based on '67 Beaumonts.

I think there was only black or beige for the vinyl tops, although I have seen 1966 U.S. Caprice ads showing medium blue vinyl tops.
