Two nice '77 Grand Prix's Montreal

WOW! Where have they been hiding?

A friend used to have a '76 that was mint, but this was back in the early 80s. He babied it, so somebody got themselves a very nice one when he decided to sell it for a nice '64 Bonneville convertible from Florida.

Another friend once had a '77 SJ with a Hurst Hatch T-roof. His father once said to me, "You know that's an ugly car." I hadn't really noticed it, but as the seventies progressed and the bumpers got bigger, lets just say the Grand Prix had jumped the shark. Still a nice car but the end of an era at GM. You could still get a big Mercury Cougar XR-7 or Chrysler "300" Cordoba through '79.

Those two posted above are as nice as you can find. I remember somewhere in the past 10 years there was a new black '76 with white ½ roof & Hurst Hatches, no a/c! And practically no miles.

 Cordoba no I had a black on black one loaded with a 400 in it. I can say the worst fuel milage ever

 Will never forget my Dad test driving one, City Cadillac Buick had a long hill back to dealership and as we we going up it my dad ask the sales man if he could order a V8 in the car. The salesman was shocked and notified Dad that the car did indeed have a 301 V8. Dad bought a 350 4bbl. Grand LeMans instead. That stuck with me because I've never liked the 77 Grand Prix.

These two cars are very nice. But i think the seller is firmly focused on the US market to try and make a sale. These two cars would be challenging to sell for those amounts in Canada, even if they were in CAD not USD.

With a 301 in a 4500lb car... acceleration would be leisurely at best. Even with a 400, they weren't speedy - more suited to pulling a trailer, with all that torque.
