65 a body rear springs


id like to get some new rear springs for my 65 a body i have some 245 60 15 tires id like to install i have a set for 68 that appear different what are you guys using/recomend for this application? according to the interweb 64/5 are different than 67 up? thx  tim

That is correct. The mounting pads for the 64-66 A body is different so you need to buy springs for 64-66. As far as which ones, it depends on what height and firmness you are after.

thx carl! she needs to go up a bit maybe wagoon springs im thinking i have cheater rubbers in the springs and 1 1/2 spacers on top of the shocks not good enough but close need another inch id like to get rid of the shock spacers im thinking

There are some spring spacers available that go under the spring. Were just checking out my brothers stash of different height spacers he made to get the perfect height he is looking for his new 8" rims and BFGs for his Goat. Used convert springs to get some height, may not be as stiff as wagon springs  Product Household hardware Auto part Metal Circle

The A body spring mounts on the axle not forward on the lower control arm like the full size and doesnt get the same mechanical advantage.
