Regarding those FoMoCo unibodies, when they rust they bend in half. That is why you find vintage GM cars from that era from around here, but rarely a Fairlane. 4-door unibody Lincoln convertibles are really cool but need to be rock solid underneath. Not for the faint of heart.
Way back a friend's brother owned a '67 Lincoln coupe with a 462. It floated softly down the road like on pillows, but we were flying, with a quiet deep rumble emanating from the dual exhausts.
