PEI Street Rod Association Annual Show and Shine June 28-30

Anyone going to this show this weekend? First time to a car show on the island since my dad took me to CANATS (Canadian Street Rod Nationals in 1991)

Made it to the show. I saw your car James but didn't see you. I took photos of a few Poncho's that were there.

Ah crap. Yeah I was bopping around all day. Hard to sit still with so many nice cars! Definitely a show we will be back to. I took pics of all of those cars. Did you notice the Chevelle beside the 68 Beaumont? L78 car. Rare.
Anyway, lots of nice cars and all makes were well represented. Excellent show that is very well run. Gotta love PEI hospitality at its finest!!!

It's a geat venue. I always enjoy a car show on the grass. No hot pavement to bake you. The water view is great too. It's well organized- easy for spectators to park etc.
Lots of rare muscle was there including some nice Mopars (did I say that out loud? lol).
There's a lot of hidden gems as far as cars are concerned here in PEI.

There were cars from all over. Saw a couple from Maine, Ontario, etc.
A majority of the cars there are headed to Atlantic Nationals. We wont be headed there but we are going to Yarmouth in a couple weeks instead.
Ended the weekend with an award for best paint. Neat!

Just a note of interest: The gentleman that is in the Miata, in the pic Todd took of our cars when we arrived on the island, is 82 year young Mike Kaplan. He is a member of the Maritime Motorsports Hall of Fame, for many reasons. Record holder in drag racing, announcer for numerous motorsports events, charity fundraiser of millions of dollars for Shriners, etc, etc. Super, super nice gentleman. People should read about his accomplishments on the Maritime Motorsports Hall of Fame website. Pretty darn cool.

PS. Mike won the award for best import with his little Miata. Definitely put a smile on his face.
