Correct black paint for dash

Has anyone repainted a black dash on a 1966 or at least 60's GM (the metal part, not the dash pad) and found a paint that has the correct gloss to it?

Years ago I used Plasti Kote T-3 Hot Rod Black and was very happy with the match but it appears that is discontinued. I'm looking for a good substitute. Most of them seem to be too glossy or too flat.

Find an auto parts supplier that mixes paint and installs it in a spray bomb. Take the dash to them and they should have the instrument that matches the paint. It may be 2 part paint but it will be as close to original as you can get.

I'm hoping to find an off the shelf single stage match because I know there used to be one. My plan B/last resort is as you stated but that's not very convenient for me, it's about 75 minutes each way to the Rondex store in the north side of Winnipeg that can do it for me.

Thanks but that's the vinyl spray. I'm wanting to paint the metal part of the dash, not the pad.

I used the same paint on the metal part too. Extremely chip resistant.

Ok, I need just enough to do a steering column so it won't take a lot.

I'll put it on the list for when I come to see you!
