Or if you don't like my Corvette choices, how about a 1969 Camaro, stock big block vs stock small block?

Well, the 69 Camaro could be bought from the factory with a ZL1

 Shhhhhh!!!

You guys can keep up your whispering!!!!  I was born in the dark, but not yesterday....LOL

Not worried about 60 something produced  cars as compared to the L88 Vettes. None of them will run on pump gas.

 I quote-

" Trips to Bloomington Gold, and correspondence with ZR1 experts regarding engine pad, date codes, tank sticker and the car's unique configuration, confirmed that the blue coupe was one of the 25 ZR1s produced in 1970. "

I was giving you a break running the ZR1 against the ZR2....... my memory says half (10) ZR2's. I've seen 2 of them...

Not to complicate the discussion, but tire choice is going to come into play.

My rule of thumb on the street (when I had a decent sbc in my car) was if the car beside me had enough power to beat me if they didn't have sticky tires they'd likely lose.
