Vacuum / Power Trunk Actuator


Does anyone have one that looks like this? Interested in buying it if it's for sale and if not, even if you can tell me what you got it from that would help.

 I'll check that out. The part number is different but it could be a minor difference.

I am not 100% certain but I believe the top one is correct for your Beaumont if any of them are.

 Ok, I spent some time in the parts books. It looks like 3825538 (which according to the drawing I found is the top on in your picture) is the correct actuator for 63-68 Nova, 64-68 Chevelle (so I would assume Beaumont as well) and 65-68 Chevrolet full size. 

And the one for 66 Pontiac is 4548585 which looks like the bottom one in your picture.

I just checked all three in the trunk of the Beaumont and it looks the top one is the closest fit by far so I do believe you are right.  With my usual case of winter optionitus I I figure to set it up in the Beau to continue making it a lazy-mans 66 Beaumont.

So the others are "available".

The one you have your eye on is a bit weathered but with a bit of lube etc it could be quite functional.

You'll need the glove box 1/2 of the kit for your Beaumont too.  Do you have that? Unfortunately I don't have a spare right now.

I have a button and a vacuum reservoir. Do you need the reservoir as well or do you have one?

What does the reservoir look like?  I would have thought you just plumbed it into the power brake reservoir

Choose the button you like the best!

And this is the reservoir. It has some sort of valving in it so it holds vacuum after the engine shuts off.

Kinda like the third from the left. The reservoir looks quite like the ones on the 67 GP headlights but I guess it would make sense to grab. I guess you could mount it anywhere in the system. Maybe a swap is in the offing?

 Same thoughts I had! Third from the left with the cute little "TRUNK RELEASE" bezel and yes, a swap would be just fine. Isn't the reservoir for the 67 headlights a bigger one? It's been a long time since I had my wagon but it seemed to me that can was a big brute.

Did you want the other actuator I had in case you need spare bits? I wont need it. 

l'll just keep the one bound for the Beaumont.

Once the mail gets moving, we'll get moving...

 I checked the can, it's 7" long by 4 1/4" diameter.

And yes, I would take both actuators if they are up for grabs.

JohnneeD and I were talking this afternoon and I thought I had an actuator here that would fit his 65 (thinking my 66 is the same) but he showed me the trunk lock on his 65 and it's sure not the same as 66. Maybe the other one you have there will work on his 65.

And...................it sounds like Canada Post is going to be ordered to go back to work.
