Headliner photo
(Preview)
Car went to the Trim Shop and the headliner was pulled down to reveal the mounting point for the 3 point seat belts. Quite rusty... Fortunately the mounting point has the nuts captured in the frame of the roof. Too much work to spray the roof with the Lizard Skin sound proofing.. Would be many ho...

Radio Updated
(Preview)
I have been watching the other posts about stereo upgrades. My rules were, No holes, No wires to be cut. I like the idea of a radio made to fit my car. Fortunately for us, Pontiac used the same radio in other cars. But only one company seems to deal with a direct fit for my car. I went with that one from Midwest...

B Sedan sail panel cardboard; What is it for?
(Preview)
On the 65-66 B Body Sedans there is a pressboard panel that just kind of hangs off the sail structure and rear bow. The headliner coming down doesn't at all contact it. Any idea what they are for? Would be useless as a sound deadener or any kind of insulation. Could it be as just a protection panel to keep r...

65-68 B Sedan, Rear window interior surround.
(Preview)
Anyone replace it? My 65 post was missing it. I bet it crumbled when the rear window was replaced and they never bothered with it. So I see they are readily available in black, at what seems to be a ridiculous price for two pieces of molded plastic and a center joining piece. But you obviously have little c...

65-66 B 2 door sedan interior image wanted.
(Preview)
Looking for some good images of the 65-66, 2 door sedan interior rear window trim. As to how the trim sits in the corners, the surround and joining top clip. Any help appreciated. Would like to see how it all sits. My 65 was missing all but one corner of it. Anyone know if the 4 door sedan was the same trim?...

1965 Laurentian headliner install.
(Preview)
So now I've reached a biggie (at least in my mind). Doing the headliner in my 65. I'll try to document this one the best I can, as it might actually be useful to others. Once done the headliner, glass in, the car can get it's safety and be finally put on the road! Still a ways away yet, I still have to pull the b...

Shoulder belts in a 65 Sedan?
(Preview)
There was some talk that I should install shoulder belts in my 65 Sedan. It makes sense to do it at this time as the headliner and carpet are out. And I do understand the importance of them in a 65 without having even a collapsible steering column. There is no good reason not to do it. I just want to start a thr...

Installing LED's in the '69 rally gauge cluster
(Preview)
I have pulled the dash cluster out of the '69, to convert the ammeter gauge in the rally cluster. In addition, I thought I would put #168 LED's in the cluster. I know someone has done this before and posted on here, I thought it was Mark (Cdnpont), but it wasn't. My question is how do I determine polarity of...

So, when I restored the interior on my 69 2+2, I installed an NOS trim plate that mounts on the instrument cluster. It had the factory adhesive tape on it, and over the last few years, has lifted off at the edges. I removed it and cleaned the adhesive off the cluster and the trim piece. I am ready to reinstal...

B-Body Speedometer Type Font
(Preview)
Random question, but I want to do some number stenciling on my 69 2+2 which I converted to the US rally gauges. I am converting the ammeter to a volt meter and want to stencil some reference numbers on the face. So, does anyone know the type font name that was used for the speedometer numbers?

65 B Body column bearing, excess play. And a horn contact question.
(Preview)
I've replaced the upper bearing in the 65 column, and there is at least 1/8 of up and down play in the wheel now. Looking at the shaft as it passes up through the bearing, it's tight on the inner race, the outer race is seated in the switch housing solid as well. The bearing is super sloppy between the races....
