I took the car out for a test drive and it's nice and quiet the only issue is that there is a slow leak at the front end of the countershaft where it has the step machined into it. The shaft hasn't spun at all and it's not leaking at the rear so I cleaned it off and applied ultra rtv black silicon over the end of th...

CARBURETOR CONFUSION
(Preview)
The OEM carb for the 239 c.i. 6 cyl. is listed as a Carter WA-1 717S single barrel. I have a manifold assembly that has a Carter WCD 2-barrel that bolts right on. I am installing the Hi-Compression head on the rebuild and wonder if there is any reason not to use the 2- barrel?

Canuck Vs. USA Flathead bell-housings and transmissions and such.
(Preview)
So, I know that the Canuck Pontiacs all (nearly all) had the mighty 239. My understanding is that they also had power glide, or hyrdamatic transmitions. Or the three on the tree. Now, I've also seen quite a number of 216 and 235 Chev engines in the Canadaian cars. Do the Stovebolts just bolt right in...
