Has anyone used on of the new PMGR starters on your vintage ride?
All mine have them for dating back to the early 2000's on my Rag, Coupe and '70 2-dr with a 454... even my '70 Estate with the LS4. ((I would get them free off warranty when the wash guys would do an engine wash on a new truck in the dead of winter and they would just go click the next morning because they were frozen ice solid))
On the '65-'68, I've had to add a relay to the starter circuit because when hot, there is too much of a voltage drop to kick in the solenoid. The PMGR's take less voltage for that and don't care they are hot. You will need the shorter starter bolts.
Also saves 50lbs of weight! lol
Whether the number below, both have "LIFETIME" warranty".
They also have the stud for the front bracket but a modification will be required.
