I need a full set of valves for my 65 327 heads. The guides are .003" oversize and I can't seem to find any suppliers in Canada for them. Anyone have any experience with this, or know of any big engine parts stores/warehouses/speed shops I can try calling.
This valve is the same as is used in a 69 350 for example, it just needs to be the .003" oversize stem.
Thanks.

There are always small block valves for sale on ebay.It should not be too hard to find a .003 oversize stem. Do you need the 1.94 or 2.02 intake valve ? The only type of valve I would not recommend for a hipo small block is the Mcquay-Norris. We had problems in the valve keeper area , it seems the stem was soft and the keeper ate its way into the valve resulting in a dropped valve . The valves were not stainless steel as that engine was used for a 1/4 mile oval dirt track. The engine also used the heavy duty brown GM valve spring and oreerated in the 4000-6500 rpm range. Al
I poked around a bit on ebay at lunch today. I couldn't make any US calls cause they have a holiday today. So far, the .003 is a snag. Guys all show standard on there.
I have 1.94 intake, 1.50 exhaust. The intakes are 4.88" tall, the exhaust 4.92" tall.
Thanks for the tip on Mcquay.
