no power to starter!

Hi guy's .it's the other Strato-Chief in Calgary and I have a question for any one who can help.I've got all my lights working but now I can't seem to get any power to the starter from the key.I had it running and after about 20 sec. I heard a pop and I knew it wasn't good. I turned the key off but the car kept running so I had to pull the power wire from the H.E.I..Now when I go to start it I get nothing confused.I can start the car by crossing the terminals on the starter though, being a 4 speed. Here's some pic's of the 'Chief .

I think Carl had similar problems with his Strato Chief. Carl, am I right?
