Here's something I didn't know and am so sure on, but in this auction on fleabay, item number 280286678569 for a 55 Laurentian Convertable, (Outrageous Price) he states that the Canadian model is 2.5 inches narrower than it's American counterpart. Can anyone verify this

Huh. I had thought that the 55-56 Chevy bodies were the same as the 55-56 Pontiac bodies (not the fenders, of course), but now that I try to research it (on the internet of course -- with all of the 'so you believe it just because you see it on the internet???!!!') I see ....
- 1956 Chevrolet specifications (looks like a scan from some original factory page, see attached image below) width = 73.7"
I am sure the Canadian and Americian Pontics are the same width in the 55-57 years. I emailed the person who has the 55 convert. for sale. I very politely corrected a few mistakes in his add and wished him the best of luck with his auction but he did not post the corrections or return an email to me. The width was one item and the colour name was another. The Canadian Pontiac did not call the off white Shoreline Beige like the Canadian 55 Chevrolet. The correct name is Sunsand Beige. The same as India Ivory was used for Chevrolet but not Pontiac it called that white Greystone White. I also felt that car was way overpriced but I did not tell him that because I did not want to insult him. The colour Sunsand Beige/Matador Red must of been the most popular for 55 Can Pon converts. as from the eight that I know that still remain four are that colour.
yes, I'd be interested to know what american parts (55 cheiftain, star chief, catalina) fit my 55 laurentian! right now am trying to learn if rear bumper of a 4 dr 55 cheiftain fit my 55 4 dr, laurentian. haven't gotten anywhere yet.
