Did some more tonight. I am now concentrating on getting it prepared for the show without all the detailing. I have to get new sill plates, do a bunch of detail on kick panels etc etc but there just isn't time so it will go in lower tier "driver" condition.

I have never ever seen a 65 Canso Sport Deluxe factory 4 speed car.  I have pictures of one complete basket case 2 door post bench seat 4 speed car with absolutely nothing left worth anything except the cowl tag.

I shouldn't have to worry about running into my twin too too often!

I wish!!    Thought I might get lots done this year but the wife wanted new windows installed in the house. That took up some money I had planed for the car. The wife won again.

It's an original Nova/Acadian (X body) block. You may or may not know about them if you don't follow the X body cars. They are a unique casting with a spin on filter, the only Chev (Canadian Pontiac) block to use a spin on filter prior to 1968.

It was originally a 283 (3 7/8" bore) but another unique thing about these is the 283 and 327 used the same casting and GM just bored it to whatever was required. I built it identical to a 250/300 hp engine except for a 69 Z28 intake with a Holley and an L79 350hp/327 cam. I had a very similar setup in a 66 Nova SS that I built 30 years ago. The setup is no screamer by today's standards but it's no dog either.

No, I just stripped and parted out the rare big block cars. I left the small block cars alone!!!

How much time do you have???

Next coffee break with you Vern. Somewhere in the low teens I believe for big block cars including a 427 Parisienne convertible. Not a very brilliant move on my part.

No, it worked out better than that...

He shipped me another system last Friday, less than 24 hours after I contacted him. I was glad I kept my cool. My inclination was to tear a strip off him. I did let him know I wasn't real happy with an extra trip to the border and paying duty once again. He certainly made it right! I am thankful for people who are patient with me when I make a mistake at my parts job, so I extended the same patience to him and he was real good about it.

The system arrived yesterday afternoon at the border, I ran after supper to pick it up and installed it tonight.
