I will be working on someone else's car in the next while that requires installing a 200-4R overdrive in a 63 Acadian. It's quite obvious the rear trans mount is quite a bit farther back than the stock trans in the Acadian. Anyone have experience with building or buying a crossmember for this swap?

I know of a '66 a block away that has a 200r4 in it. He is away for a couple weeks but when he gets home I can take a peek...if you don't get some better answers by then.
That would be great Chad if you could do that. Even if I get an answer I'd really like to see pics of any possibilities.
I found two different choices of crossmembers that are manufactured but they are expensive and as you are aware, this project is a bit of a budget machine.
