Is this a 60's ACADIAN oil pan?

I bought this last weekend , it is supposed to be a 60's Acadian / Nova oil pan.  I most likely will be changing the one of my 63 as it has been converted to a deep sump.

I looked at Carls pics  of his Acadian build,  looks to be the same pan?

Is the something unique about the oil pumps themselves?

I also picked up an extra set of frame v-8 mounts. good parts to put aside. ( I have a problem )

Yup, it's all good.

The oil pump fits only 64-67 Nova V8. Well, I guess 62-67 but they were only in 64-67 from the factory.

Also the oil pump shaft and suction pipe and screen are unique.

I think some evening I will make up list on what is needed to do this conversion. There's several unique pieces needed.

True but it's so much nicer to have the full turning radius if a guy can find the correct stuff to put on.

I would think it's the right turn is short because the engine is about an inch and a half to the passenger side. If you look at the frame mounts in the picture you can see a difference in length. The picture makes it look less but it is close to the inch and a half.

No, the pickup tube and screen is wrong for sure.

I posted a conversion thread as you may have seen. I hope to add pics to it at some point, but not tonight!!!

When I have more time I will add a bunch more stuff to the thread I started with conversion info.

Not long ago the pan could still be had new but I think that is done now. Not much of the stuff available new now.

The funny thing is, because lots of guys are putting on these custom front clips, it has freed up a good supply of used conversion parts! The supply of that stuff used is likely better now than it was years ago.

You can buy the pickup new from GM and the oil pump aftermarket. Both are pretty reasonable and the security along with a new pump is worth it to me.
