Youch, how long is that 377 going to last at that rate?

Carl the motor was built close to 8 years ago , it is a very strong built stroker motor, pulls to 7500 RPM all day which it was built for, lots of oil pressure , not worried one bit ,

ask Roger , took him for a ride biggrin

Is it worth the effort to change to a posi rear end

when you are using a stock 6 cyl engine ??

In my opinion save your money. I don't think lack of traction will be a concern for you.

Only for bragging rights! OR, if you plan on replacing that mill in the future to a more stout unit!

Sounds about right to me. Upgrade away! The money isn't much more. Right now my 65 Sd 4spd rag has a 10bolt open in it but I have a posi 12 bolt waiting. It has some 588 gears or something like that but until I find some highway 12 bolt gears it will sit. It doesn't help the carrier isn't made for highway gears. Paul.

It look pretty twisty in the rear when you stepped on it. Now I know your trick. Paul.

That's true if you totally destroyed your cage and gears and have to replace them anyway. If it's just a rebearing you need then waste of money unless you really want a posi. And it is your choice.
