Magnet included in my 12 bolt shim kit. Where should it go?

I bought a 12 bolt 8.875" Super shim and Solid pinion spacer kit from a shop in BC.

It came with a magnet, and I'm wondering if I should use it, and if I do, where should it go? Is it something that should always be done?

My cover is aluminum, so without epoxy, it won't sit there.

Or maybe Loctite it in the bottom of the cover to collect shavings from wear over the years to come ?

I think it's supposed to sit in the bottom of the diff housing to collect shavings from wear. as stated

Put it on the bottom in the front of the housing..on the outside.. it will still work and pull any small metal filings if any to it keeping them out of the gears and when you change your fluid you will have a grey paste there in the area of the magnet and just clean it.. :>)
