RE: The last 409 car?

That Fat Boy looks very similar to mine, except for the pipes. What year is it?

Here's a video I found of a put together 409 Biscayne, 1965

Just out of curiosity, did the 348 continue into 1962? When I was an apprentice the shop owner had a Strato Chief Safari with a 348. The car was originally a 261 and he put the 348 out of a 58 Impala in it. I ask because it was mentioned way back then that you were still able to get a 348 in 62.

I was reading my comments of five years ago... This summer I bought 3 409 Chevys. A 62 Impala 409 425 with a five-speed Tremec, a 62 Bel-Air with a 409 425 with a T-10 four-speed, and a 63 Biscayne 409 425, that one's a 340 horsepower Glide block, but I don't care, it's built up pretty nice with a Muncie M20. They're all totally not original cars, and I'll get into details the next time I write. It's 1 in the morning, time for bed

I'm using the telephone app on my Android, and I don't see any button to press to post pictures. I have lots of pictures, but here's a video that a friend of mine made this summer in Ste Ane De Prescott Ontario, when I and another friend of mine (friends since 13, he's behind the wheel of my '62 409 Impala in the next video, he also has a restored '72 Vista Cruiser, and a '66 Olds 98 survivor that was partially destroyed in a fire, that's next year's restoration project after he finishes lightly restoring the '66 98 that he bought for parts, but it was too good to part out. But that's a story for another day) beating the crap out of my '63 Biscayne. It's currently at my mother's condo in Montreal. Sleeping of course https://youtu.be/dGK9HjTUqMw And my '62 Impala 5 speed... it's currently at a friends barn near Hamilton Ontario, I found it on the 348-409 Forum 6 years ago when it had a 348 th350, I have tons of bills, but nothing more on the history, but I'll look into it. https://youtu.be/KK2CmEmHTZI And I also have a 62 Bel-Air, I'm the third owner, it was a 283 Powerglide, it's at my house. I bought it in Simi Valley California, drove to Phoenix, not without problems, and I trucked it back to New York.

Back in the 1980's i remember seeing a sad looking 65 with a 409 at a number of southern Ontario car shows. The car was painted with what looked like Canadian Tire spray bombs. The colour was not a factory colour and kind of looked like a very sad teal. This 65 had some real tacky mags on it, i think they were Appliance mags. The 409 had the chrome valve covers and air cleaner on it but i can not recall if it was a 340 or the higher horse version. I can not recall if it was a four gear or a glide. I saw this car a number of times for a while and then it just vanished. I wonder if someone eventually properly restored it and i wonder where it is today.

I'm really surprised the Country 409 only has 400 odd hits, half of them from me making folks watch it lol.

Fixed, as long as you keep posting them I can keep fixing them! It's actually very simple but I am happy to do it.
