62 Pontiac windshield Question

Was so happy to get new windshield seals/rubbers for front and rear windows. had front glass replaced with new and reused rear glass . They said the groove was in really great shape no rust. Got my car back but not leak free.......have been back so many times and all they do is add more sealant. The first big frost made it even worse......is this a problem thing or did I take it to the wrong place??? can I reuse these seals?  and where should I go ?

TY D.

A problem with the new glass (your new windshield) is that it's thinner than the original glass.  As such it leaves a small trough that allows the moisture to leak through.

Why are you getting so much water on/in the car ?      is just running water over it while washing doing it ?

Boy, I think it sounds like an inferior installation.

I had a local mobile glass installer do my Acadian a few years ago. He is very thorough and while both front and back had leaked badly before he arrived, he had them perfect when he left.

It sounds to me like your installer either isn't using the proper sealer or he doesn't know the proper installation procedures for it. There's no such thing as a glass that can't be made to seal.

Hopefully someone from your area will see this and maybe know of a good place to get it done correctly.
