Engin choice

I got a 67  Parisienne  Factory 283 power glide car I'd like to

put a bigger motot in should I go with a 350 Chevy and keep

it chevy powered or do the work and put a Pontiac 400 in it

not really sure I'd keep the factory motor and trans for done the road

if I want to go back to stock just wondering what you guys think

I thought it might be alright to have a Canadian car with Pontiac power

......as mentioned go with the Chev 350, everything will fit and the car will run great,

by Pontiac 400 I assume you're talking the American Pontiac, that is not original to a

67 Parisienne and would be a headache to install........stick with Chevy parts......

Buy a rusty Chev/GMC truck cheap with a decent 350/5.7L motor & transmission...sell or scrap the rest.
- many end up with a free powertrain

1987 is first year for FI...1986 and older trucks, is carburetor.

1985 or 86 may be the start of the 4 speed 700R4...a few years later, 6 bands went to a more robust 10 band auto transmission.

65Camino is right, you can get a running one ton with a 454 for $1,000 or less usually.
