Went up 20 cents on thursday to 2.049 now some station going to 2.259. WTH 40 cents in less than a week.
Feeling the pain. Somebody is filling their pockets with our cash.
Yup...$2.279 in Vancouver today, predicting to hit $2.399 tomorrow.....highest price ever recorded for a North American city. I get the 'sunshine tax' thing but this is getting out of hand. Can't help but wonder does the government really care?? They talk about ensuring the consumer isn't being gouged by industry but they benefit by more taxes and will it also push more people to go Electric since that's the net zero mandate anyway? Not a conspiracy theorist by any means but if food was to double in 18 months I think they would be stepping in, just my 2cents.
Put in 50 tonight in red car, was 2.509 for premium, got 4.8 gallons, LOL. Can't help but laugh for a bit.
11.47 a gallon. Was a fun drive tonight though, 50 bucks plus more gone out the tail pipe.
The latest "reason" is a refinery that provides the west coast is down for maintenance and there was a fire at another one in the US. That refinery isn't slated to be back online until 2023.
Diesel went up this week 26.9cents, now 2.14. Gas 1.66, up 8 cents.

Another crazy big jump here in PEI overnight: Furnace Oil up 22.5 cents/liter to $2.20 , diesel up 18.8 cents to $2.76. Gas unchanged. I feel so bad for the many lower income families who heat with oil this year.
