Here's a comparison chart for the last month (from Gas Buddy).....Cost of gas in Canada and in the U.S.
Prices in Canadian dollars and in liters........

93.9/litre in Edmonchuck. The low point seems to be about 88.9, then they bump it 15 cents and let it slowly fall to 88 ish again. That part annoys me more than anything. It wasn't like that here 5 years ago when we first moved here. Gas was 1.05/litre and stayed that way for months. Yo-Yo prices I was used to in BC though, I guess those tactics followed us here...
Think I needed to get out of the rip off capital of Canada. Price in parts of Metro Vancouver at $!.349. Go out to Abbotsford, about 50 miles and it is $1.159

We are at $1.24 in our part of Ont these days. Do you think the prices in BC have anything to do with the dispute over the pipeline with Alberta?
well they say its not but the oil barons must be mad as helll with pipeline delays etc they are telling us some refinerys are down in washington and theres gona be more gouging its making it real tuff for many everything will go up if this keeps up
Realizing that the posts are not supposed to delve into politics I can only advise members to get a copy of the most recent federal budget. There's an immediate 11 cent per litre in there plus other measures aimed at altering behaviors, very quietly executed, add in the other factors being discussed in varying regions, the switch to summer gas blend which immediately restricts supply. It all adds up to a massive cash and tax grab.
Probably not but everyone is using that for excuse. 1.47 here a little north of Victoria.
Gonna be a crappy cruisin season if this keeps up. 1.70 for the good stuff. To think that 2 NDP
Leaders can't there their crap on the same page so we have to pay for it. Have heard we get most of our fuel from the US. LOL.

The BC Green and NDP say they'd be OK with a new pipeline if it was refined. Maybe they should build a refinery for the "people"? An oversupply of refineries is a good idea IMHO.
Provincial taxes and refinery greed have added a lot to gas prices. When the barrel was $150, gas was about $1.50 a liter. Not the barrel is $68 and gas prices are $1.30 +.
