Replacement AC compressor

Has anyone out there had any luck with a replacement air con compressor? And assosiated bracketry. due to engine mods can't really use the brackets for the original frigidair beasty, plus, its freakin heavy as......unable to use the bracket as pictured to steady the thing as it goes over the tappet covers, high mounted RHS looking at front of motor. My setup is the same as the one pictured. Thanks in advance!

Another question. Can't remember how the said bracket bolts to the motor. I know it bolts to the manifold using a manifold bolt, but is that bolt a standard bolt or stud style bolt? image.jpeg

you looking for a compressor in your country   or do you want compressor and brackets ?

my buddy used a John Deere tractor compressor on his 71 BB Monte

Just thinking you might have access to JD parts already there

Phil,

I'm currently restoring an Australian delivered 1968 Pontiac Parisienne. Has the small block Chevy in it. I have purchased an AeroFlow low mount a/c bracket for my car to use with a Sanden 508 compressor. Compressor (as you are looking at the front of the engine) mounts down low on the RHS.

If you are running a power steering pump on the same side you have to purchase a high mount power steering bracket. I also had to scallop out the bottom of the chassis rail. Part number for the polished a/c bracket is AF64-4012. Also available in black, just add BLK to the end of the part number.

I purchased both the power steering bracket and a/c bracket from Townsville.

Attached are a couple of pics...............Mmmmm can't seem to rotate them???? Sorry about that.

Steve.
