ring and pinion lash

Hi everyone , ive just fitted a fabcraft set of 3.55 gears in my 66 12bolt 8.875 diff. I set the pinion depth with a .034 shim as they instructed , backlash set at .007 . Before i take it all apart and do my final assembly, any comments or observations on this gear pattern ? it looks fine to me but all you guys out there with years of rebuilding these diffs , id love to hear what you think ....thanks J

Tooth pattern looks pretty good, .007 is a bit on the tighter side, any I've put together usually run at the tightest .008, loose side .012, aim for .009/10 then again someone else might know something I don't . Good luck

Thanks bigblock...i read .006-,010 is the range so i figured .007 is not bad for new gears and bearings, but all opinions are worth hearing ! i set my off road diffs up at 0.005 but thats for the dirt where they don't see hours of highway action !
