I see what you mean never seen one that the handle fits like that before. Looks like your handle is welded on instead of bolted on .

It's a bit down the road till that happens. I suspect the 4 speed will come before the engine.

I have to say it would be pretty cool as a 427 4 gear. Originality aside, this would be the best outcome for the car. Again, I wasn't trying to take the wind out of your sails, Carl. Have fun with it! š

No worries at all. I realize not everyone will be delighted with my plans. Who knows, it may never happen but it's what I would like to do with it.

Same Hurst shifter that is in my 442. I have a white shifter ball also.

Nice!! It's your car, do what you want!! I think it would be cool and agree with the decision............not that it matters ;)

Are there any numbers on the handle? I think I ended up with one of these shifters from a lot of shifters I picked up not long ago. Any chance you could email me some pics of the other side of the shifter as well as the linkages?

Glad to see you are getting set up in your new place!!

P.S. Al's on the Friday after Thanksgiving Nov 25th??

Black Friday shopping? You betcha, since it's in a wrecking yard! Seriously, if the weather holds that would sure be a possibility.

I can't find any numbers on the handle. 484217 on the body is about it, and google got me nothing on that number.

Ha Carl, knew it was just a matter of time. The best addition to a bench seat car is always a handle on the floor--- it's like Rum & Coke.. can't wait to see it!
