Took some rubbing compound to a section on the quarter panel to see if the old paint would come back to life after 61 years and was surprised at the results.

Here is a picture showing the area worked on.

Wow! It came up great. That with a coat of wax and it will really pop! Be sure to post full before and after photos!

Ok Paul. Now that you've done that small patch and got it looking like new, I guess you're now committed lol!

Some will frown on the loss of patina, I like the shine, but It'll grow back pretty quickly into what it was anyway if need be.
