Is that from an HEI Phillip? I know it's not from the original HEI in the mid/late 70's because they are 4 pin but I'm wondering if it's from the early 80's with the electronic spark control?

Ot is most likely late 80s early 90s. Out of my edelbrock fuel injection setup. That is about the era. System does use spark control. You set the static spark timing at 10° BTDC with control off then turn it back on and the system controls the spark and timing. It was based on GM injection and uses many GM parts. I have no spark and suspect this is the culprit. Hoping so anyway.

I had a similar problem with my '87 Blazer with the fuel injection. Had no spark. The needle on the tach was dancing all the place when the module was on the way out. The one that I replaced with was a lot more than what you show on the Ebay site. I paid $94.00 from a jobber here in British Columbia. Only part number shown on the receipt is probable of no use, CBE23.
