Same tank I put in my 2+2 over 8 years ago...exact fit. Got mine for $169 USD...but that was then and this is now!

bump watch for some news coming re rebuilt fuel canisters

Shaun"s reply in 2 parts:

Cliff,
Cost of repairs is determined upon disassembly and after testing components, then  I'll contact you with cost and time to complete along with your approval for repairs.
Now then an average cost to repair these is starting at $125.00 and up to $400.00 in extreme cases.
That would include cleaning, resizing the float, new strainer, and testing. If replacement parts are needed that would be additional.
Looking at yours it appears there may be fuel leaking from the top due to all the silicone I see. and the ground wire is missing.
Turnaround time is usually one week.

Part 2 of reply
Cliff,
This is a service that I do as needed, not a business so I don't want it to get out of hand if you know what I mean.
You can share that the service is available, inquires by e-mail.

Bill, don't waste your time or money on a used tank. A new one of quality is dead easy to find, and is pretty cheap considering.

Also, we need to thank Cliff for digging up that rebuild info. If I could have gotten my original 67 one redone for say, 200 cdn or so, I would have done it for sure. I threw it out (and it was still working) thinking it would be a good time for a new one. Boy was I wrong. The cheap replacement lasted one year, and I still dont have a working fuel gauge. Fool.

Yes Mark normally I woundn"t but the parts car I am going to take parts off I can have everything I want ,front bumper, valance, grills, ect Tail lights and anything else for 400 bucks so hoping the tank will be good as it will also have a sending unit although mine seems ok ohms wize will have to test it to see if the floats are ok..so going to take off all I can long drive back and forth thought 2 1/2 each way but worth it  and yes thank you very much Cliff for all your effort and help
