I'm doing detail work on my 63 and notice that the P.O. meticulously removed the white paint from the front and rear arrowheads..Now I notice what could be the same performed on the headlght bezels/doors. On both sides of the vertical headlights....on the left and right bezels... in the center vertically there are two triangular recesses in the chrome. Does anyone know if these should be painted white like the arrowhead emblems? Hope that's not too confusing
I'll add this..After staring at web pics til near blind I do not in fact see any evidence of white ...but possibly black instead? In the process and I realize this has probably been discussed but I can't get over how many cars of this era I see with the windshield wipers either on the wrong side or put in place far to low so they scratch up the trim! Also I note that some cars listed for sale on what I would call prominent web sites are missing wipers altogether! Personally I think all these little details make the difference. Straight wiper= pass side 30 degree arm = driver's side. Keep them up off your trim!
Mine are black. On your jack question in the other thread, my car and stuff is in storage so I cant easily get you a pic. I do have a complete jack somewhere.

Thanks Don, I kinda thought those recesses might be painted...Mine are scraped clean which looks ok but I'd like to paint them. All the photos I've looked at do look black...definitely not white. My jack has the square stem..I think maybe it should be t-bar style and the hook is very wide where it hooks under the bumper...so wide that it will not store as indicated...Tire wrench too big...All the little things. Happy Father's Day to you and yours!
