Need quick fix or replacement for seized differential. Help appreciated


I have one of our members at my place in the lower mainland near Vancouver. He drove across the country for one of my cars. Putting it together, we see that the rear differential has seized. Im trying to attach a picture with the cover open. Im wondering if anyone has any advice on how to get this thing rolling so it can be pulled up on a trailer? Other than that, if someone has an affordable  rear end that rolls, nothing more, for a 1967B body in the greater Vancouver area, please let me know right away. This is kind of time sensitive because I dont think this other member wants to hang around too long here. I think hed like to get moving back east! Thanks for your help or suggestions!

might be a stupid question,but....

Wouldn't taking the gears out of the case  enable it to roll onto the trailer? confuse

Sure its not the brakes seized? I have seen a lot worse looking rear ends that still turn. One rear brake stuck on with a positraction will stop you from moving.

Yes, I was going to comment that I see a positraction unit in there, and wondered if having a seized brake would cause issues.

And yes, typically it's the drums seized on the shoes, not the diff itself.

Bingo! The diff is fine- it was a drum or wheel bearing. Thank you guys for your replies! And yes- I will call you sometime soon Carl. Thanks again.
