NASTY! I had a friend who owned a 70 Cutlass with a Chevy straight 6 that had the factory fan do this. It also sent pieces through the hood.

I have them on both of my 454 cars, but both bought new.

I had one on my 454 4 speed car, it was on the 350 that I removed from the car, and re-used it. One of the blades took off on my way back from POCI 2016, and did some damage to the fan shroud. The fan was replaced with a new one.

I haven't seen that before but I've seen the fins come off the body of the fan. Dangerous...
