12 Bolt Posi Shaft Lock Bolt

Has anyone bought an aftermarket lock bolt for a 12 bolt posi? I searched quite a while online and most of the ones listed sounded wrong or if they had a picture, looked wrong.

I finally checked and luckily one of the only 2 dealers left with one of these discontinued parts was local so I bought it.

I'm curious of there is a correct aftermarket piece out there and if so, who sells it?

This bolt should be replaced any time you remove it. Yes I know, if it comes out fine, why not re-use it? Because eventually when they are removed and replaced enough, they break and when this bolt breaks off in the case it's a nightmare.

Close but that's not the one that is unique for a posi Mark, it's too short at 2.125" long. The posi bolt is approx 2.65" long.

I just sent a message to IWE out west about the bolt and the confusion around it.

Dealt with them before, and there is not much they don't have. Great service too.

If they have them I'll post about it, and probably buy a couple.

Somebody has to have the correct ones but I sure couldn't find it the other night when I was searching if they do.

Try Tom's Differentials in Ponderay Idaho. I'm sure they'll have it. Ponderay is right beside Sandpoint.

I think I have a couple of the non-posi ones as I broke one when I had the diff apart on my 4 speed car. I think I bought spares.
