I found a 4 1/4 round mirror glass on line. American made BURCO 3027 . Its a tinted grey convex mirror that matches the OPGI tint of my drivers side. But WOW what a difference in view. I see the quarter panel and 1 1/2 lanes beside me without distortion.
Pictured is the style of mirror it fits. I believe other Pontiacs and Chevies use this size of glass mirror.

Any style round mirror held in with a snap ring i would imagine, with a 4 1/4 round mirror glass. Burco 3027 is a replacement passenger side mirror glass for a 1976-80 Dodge Volare Which happens to be exact size early GM mirror glass is.

Would it be possible to install it with two-sided tape?

Think I saw a recent posting Darryl on one that was a glue on over the existing glass?

Ah, gotcha. I was thinking this was a complete RH mirror assembly, not just the glass.

Yes, the mirror comes with double sided tape.
That would be easy-peasey and reversible down the road.

i went out for a cruse night run, what a difference, getting caught up in traffic was no longer a panic situation when you need to change lanes. who knew a $40 mirror could make a dramatic change to my driving experience.

I need one complete mirror assembly for my 74 Firebird as well, It didn't come with one. It is sure nice to have when backing up or like you said, you want to see what's on your passenger side.
(i'd have to double check exactly what I have - I currently have a matched pair set aside for my kijiji listings.)
I think overtime some details have been forgotten, but as far as Firebirds are concerned, the only model which did NOT recieve dual "bullet" mirrors (with convex passenger glass) was the base model;
It was a part of the standard equipment for an Esprit, or anything higher up the food chain.
I suspect that if damage to the passenger door happened, and the door/skin was replaced, that these sometimes were forgotten, or left off for financial reasons.
