Take the cover off the other side to use as template before you scrape it off into oblivion.  They do have the same template?

I think this is a case where a reproduction part would be cheaper than trying to restore the original!

No more yellow wires. New wires, plugs, cap, points and valve cover gaskets

Points deducted at Pebble Beach.

  • Incorrect or non factory valve cover gasket.

 

Looks so much better without those yellow wires!
