What oil filter are you running on your Gen 1 small block these days.


Time for an oil change on the 350. No need to be fancy with this one. I'd just want the can to be like I remember them, not short.

Simply, what's your go to oil filter these days on a SBC?

 Thanks Greg, thats the tall one! I run a big K&N HP-6002 on my 67.  On the 69 I think I'll just run a standard sized one.

AC Delco or Wix. Both look good when you cut them open vs a lot of the others, especially the F word F**m filter which you will NOT find on my engines.

The best on the market from what my 2nd gen HP engine builder says is the extra long HP -3002 K&N PERFORAMACE GOLD about $25.he cuts these up all the time, an make sure to use high zinc oil since there is no lead in are fuel an a ethanol fuel conditioner since its been added to our premium fuel last June in Canada + if your check your old rubber fuel lines to make sure they are ethanol resisitant OR IT WILL GUM UP YOUR CARB I just changed mine yesterday after looking at my glass filter looked like light black gas an all my S/STEEL fuel lines are new an one more thing check the one little one by your gas tank I will have to wait till my tank is empty to do that one good luck everyone hope we can keep our cars going for a while !

Are these recommended filters for synthetic oil or non synthetic oil?
