I think 67 had a dowel but I can check to make sure that's right.

And some books seem to suggest 68 was the first year. The more I dug into the books the less certain I was of the correct answer!

I'll run your normally aspirated with headers BB any time.... with my SB.  And that was 10-15 years ago, with the new technology, imagine how it would be in 2024

How about we agree to disagree on this.

How about we start a new thread, SB vs BB so that poor Ken's thread doesn't stay stuck in full derail mode? LOL

I've actually got three 67 Grande Sport coupes. One was a 327 car with turbo 400 and that is the one somebody had put the 396 in. its very complete (except  for no engine/tranny now) with a really good body except for a dented quarter and rust  over the rear wheels.  The second is a very rusty but complete 327 turbo 400 car and the third is a very rusty non original engine but original AC car.  Between the three there are some good options like the AC,  power rear antenna and speed warning dash, buckets, console. shaded glass.  The frame is excellent on the engineless car and i think they are good on the others as well. All have the 4 link suspension.  I have a pending deal for all three but the guy is really slow to do anything so I'm thinking of telling him its off if I had any other real interest.  The 396 would be a separate sale.

It all would make for would one nice 396 AC Grande project, that I'm not going to get to.

 Do you deliver to Manitoba?

You know it would almost be worth the trouble just to dump off all three in front of your house so you can explain your latest project to your long suffering  neighbours!

Do it! They would barely even roll their eyes, they are so used to it...

Calling on 1967 experts!

Side note....again.

1969 Parisienne and 2+2 used Impala interior, and seats, with Bonneville dash.
1969 Grande Parisienne used Bonneville interior and dash, with Caprice seats.
1967 Parisienne used Impala seats?? with Executive interior and dash??
1967 Grande Parisienne used Grand Prix dash and seats?? Brougham interior??

Would anyone happen to have a list of all 67' interior trim color/codes??

Thanks

Okay. I think I solved the 67 Grande upholstery mystery.
Seems the boys over in Oshawa had the notion to not only mix and match interior items, they seemed to have mixed bench and bucket seat upholstery.
Looks like Grand Prix bucket seats. But looking closer, the upper portion is not the same. The bands on the Grand Prix go right to the top and there is a row of buttons. The grande does not. They used the bottom portion of a Grand Prix bucket and the back portion from the bonneville brougham strato bench!
