i have eveything but one thing to put the 427 in the Grande Parisienne...
motor mounts . what will work and what wont? is there any sites online that i can get them from? i need the entire mount, the piece for the frame, the peice for the block and the rubber for in between.
if you have one that you dont need...post below please
Call Canadian Tire, Parts Source or your local supplier. These are common and can be purchased today. Chevrolet in it's wisdom used the same engine mounts for small blocks and big blocks. Get Passenger car mounts not Truck. Just tell them you have a Grande Parisienne with 427. I am doing the same thing now and my 350 mounts bolt directly on to the 454 but I have a brand new set anyway.
Be very careful with what you buy. I can post up some info tonight. Some of the pieces on the market these days are pure junk, to say the least. I think I have some pics at home to show you what to look for.

Just one thing I can add before I get home, 6258154 and 3990916 are the two numbers that GM used for them. The 6258154 is the new number, 3990916 is the original part number.

are these numbers good only for 67 or will they work for my 70?
No, different. 70 350 4 barrel and big block used 3990918, 2 barrel used 3990914. I am sure the difference is the measurement between the ears but I can't recall exact numbers. As you already know, the 3 bolts to the block is the same on all small and big block Chev/Cdn Poncho engines.

I called my local Parts Source they had big block mounts in stock for my car, $20,98 each made by Anchor. Not sure who or where that company is but my point is they are easy to get.

What GM number are the ones you have for sale? I can check for him if they will fit his application.
Your last line sums it up. Here is my best effort to get them to line up on my Acadian after die grinding, shimming, hammering, prying and whatever. 2 evenings of jerking around with those cheap aftermarket Made-in-India piece of crap mounts from my local jobber store. Did I toss them in the garbage? No way, I keep them to show people and warn them not to buy that crap AND to remind myself to pay extra and buy quality parts that fit when necessary. NO WAY would those pieces of crap allow a bolt in on both sides at the same time.

Oh, and the solution? I bought NOS GM mounts off ebay, bolted them on, lowered the engine and put both bolts in. Not even a wiggle, pry, nothing, it sat down perfectly first try...

Years ago, the jobber mounts were fine, every bit as good as OEM in my opinion. Then they started making them offshore.
I have picked up some NOS mounts that I am unsure of as to brand. They look and fit excellent.
On the left in this picture is an NOS mount I suspect is GM but can't prove it. On the right is the India part, complete with major die grinding in the hole, to no avail. Notice the difference in the steel thickness of the mount frame.
Also the design, it's similar but not the same.
The India part is basically heavy gauge sheet metal...

Now for the GM replacement part for your 67 427. This is a used replacement mount I have, put out by GM but not identical to what it was made with in 67. Still a very heavy duty piece though, and fits perfect.
I was lucky enough to score a set of NOS mounts that again, I think may be GM but can't prove it. Notice the steel tab at the bottom of the mount in the 2 pictures. One is curved, one is straight. Not sure why the difference other than not the same manufacturer.
My neighbour bought a set of mounts at a jobber store for his 67 Beaumont 396 and was not happy. He did manage to make them fit, but with a struggle. This would be the same mount as your car needs.
If you need help locating some, I can give you a hand. No promises, it takes persistence. I spent a LOT of time on the internet to find what I needed. You get to the point that you can quickly recognize the junk parts vs. the good quality HD parts that will fit.

HI ibought the 1967-68 mounts from GM 30 years ago tryied to put them on a 1969 big block camaro would not fit my friend told me they were the wrong ones i just remember what he told me we called him the general gm crazy i have no part numbers
Have you checked real careful on the black rubber part? Sometimes with a good magnifying glass you can see it on there. And yes, starting in 69 I think it was, there are some new, different mounts as well as a continuation of some of the old style ones too.

Yes 69 was the chang over year for the new interlocking style mount. They are higher and required a different frame mount to work. The 307 got the old frame and engine mounts and the 350 and 396 got the new frame and engine mounts.

i got my mounts :) !!!!!! 20 a piece...not bad? i think i found a tranny and if i get it all i should now need is a clutch and brake pads. feels pretty good
I bought some big block mounts at NAPA. The first ones under the part number were made in India and did not fit. I returned them and picked up another set - same part number - but these were made in the US, and you gessed it - they fit.
