Starting to put the interior back into our 66 Impala which I assume is the same as a 66 Pontiac. When the rear package tray was removed it was just a piece of old carpet, all the OEM stuff was gone, so there is no reference. Hi, I am trying to replace the alternator wire on my 65 strato chief.The one Im trying to replace goes into the bulkhead block behind the fuse box. It seems in its prior life it ran too hot and the wire is cooked all the way through. I cant see in there very well is there a trick to release that wire?

Finally getting around to the point a carpet can soon be installed in the 65 Laurentian. Any tips for a successful job? It's a 4 speed floor shift, so I figure I get one chance to cut the opening just right. It's an ACC through NOS Reproductions.

Does anyone have a photo or diagram of how the ignition switch mounts in the dash? I have the outside retainer ring and the inner sleeve but I feel like there is a piece missing. Does anyone make a set of door panel fuzzies for the 65-67 B 2 door sedan? The strips that came off my panels are 9/16 tall x 40 1/2 front, and 22 1/4 rear. Metal backed, and the roll overs were probably bright long ago. Or better yet, is there any universal cut to length strip that is available. It need not be...

My 66 ash tray must have been used by the passengers way back when. Has anyone had success cleaning these? I am wondering if Evapo-Rust might help? I want to keep the anodized look if I clean it.
