1965 Laurentian (2dr-Sedan)
(Preview)
Hi, there's a '65 Laurentian for sale near me. It is the "2-door post sedan" so I'm just wondering about the rarity of the car since I can't find production numbers anywhere or basically any info on these cars.

Gas octane / grade should i use?
(Preview)
OK, so i've put a few posts up here and had great responces. So, being new to older cars, do they mind what gas grade i put in, can i just feed her the cheapest fuel they sell at my local garage? Previous cars have been fuel injection and needed a min of 95. Does it matter, what should i put in my 69 chevy 350 mo...

Rally One GTO wheels on my 66 GP?
(Preview)
I have a dilemma. I'm cleaning up for our move, and if I'm not going to use my GTO rallies on my GP, I'am going to sell them. Good idea to use them on the car, or do they just look "wrong" for that car? I had them on my 65 Acadian and loved them, but I'm unsure about using them on a B body. For those who ar...

1969 Blue Buckets (and photos of a blue big block Grande Parisienne)
(Preview)
We were talking in another thread about how to get blue buckets in a '69 Pontiac, and here's a photo of the dark blue interior. I'll add some pictures of the car as well... anyone recognize it?

Anyone have photos of a RHD '69 dash?
(Preview)
I've never seen one, but according to Wikipedia, they didn't use the Pontiac dash, it's somehow derived from the 1965 Impala. I'd be curious to see one, if we have any export folks on board!

Hubcap instead of rally wheel

I don't think I'd go with the look permanently, though they fit nicely over the center caps still in place! Grabbed this set of pristine NOS hubcaps, tried them on for size.

Pontiac door panel clips..
(Preview)
The older I get, the more I realize what I don't know!! From memory, 60's G.M. cars used door panel clips something like these below. Saturday we visited Corinne, WILD CHERRY, and she had the door panel off her 1968 Parisienne and the clips were just little nails. I never noticed this nail style before,...

"Wide Track" - not really?
(Preview)
As you're likely aware the marketing spiel for '69 B-Bodies in the US was "Wide Track", and they used it in Canada too, even though it's an Imapla chassis. So I looked it up: US Pontiac: 64" front track Canadian: 63.5" front track Ford Galaxie: 63" front, 64" rear...

Real difficulty putting gas in my car at modern pumps
(Preview)
I don't know if our vapor-recovery, auto-off gas station nozzles here in the US are any different than up there, but I'm now finding it almost impossible to put gas in my '69. I have a '69 Camaro with the tank behind the rear plate and its a similar story. It continually kicks back after (if you're lucky)...

We've taken this photo every year since 1970 with a few missed along the way. My Dad passed in '96, and now I have four kids for the annual photo! Same car, obvious...

Anyone seen/remember/have a hockey-stick commercial?
(Preview)
About 30 years ago someone who was a bit older than me told me about a TV ad in Canada for the endura nose on the '69s (and this was up in Canada) wherein a hockey player smacked the nose with a hockey stick. Anyone old enough to remember the ad and what was in it? Anyone have a copy of it by chance? I put the enti...

Hi guys I was idly looking at youtube the other day and ran across a couple of videos documenting the inspection of a 65 Parisienne convertible that looked as if it it was pretty nice from the outside. Is this cap correct for a Canadian car?
(Preview)
My original wheels were 14", and the caps were similar to this, but a little different. I'm wondering if the 15" wheel covers in Canada (which I assume existed by can't say I've ever owned) would look like these, or if Canada had yet-again-different hubcaps for 15" wheels? Thanks,...
