I have a 500 Eldebrock 4 barrel carb on my 305, its running to rich and I thought I would adjust the carb pump to see if that helps before changing the jets. I carb pump adjustment rod has three holes for adjustment, which hole would make it run leaner, the bottom or the top hole. thanks

I ordered a pilot bushing fron NAPA, ended up with 2 one is solid bushing & the other is a "roller" needle brg. Both seem to be the same dimentions!!! Which one should I use??

So i put a 4-barrel carb on and i kept the oil fill tube in the front on the intake manifold and the downdraft tube (its a 59' 283) so from what i understand is that is the cars vacum or (pcv) originally ? So do i just cap off all the vacum ports on the carb? I also have the original heads with valve covers so no h...

Guys finally got the motor just about to the turn the key time, probably Friday we should fire it up, I changed over to an alternator instead of the generator, how can I hook up the wires from the alternator to make it charge, Thanks Brent, Pics will be coming of the changeover.
